Mummy & Hannah tour Hong Kong!!

Hannah & I have spent 4 days in Hong Kong. It was great to come back 'home' to see some of our dear friends, and also to spend some quality time only with Hannah.

First, we stayed with Hannah's God parents Anders & Karina. Hannah was super excited to see them again! After a few hours however, she loudly complained over ear- and throat pain and wanted chewing gum! (I told her we'd get her some for the flight back to Singapore when her ears were hurting on the plane...) Anyhow, we decided to take her to the emergency room, just to make sure. Anders took us there, and after a quick visit, we exited with 3 different medications... and 5 min after we came home, Hannah was bouncing on the bed and had no memories of sore ear- and throat - happy ending :-)

Hannah got a super cute dress from AP & Karina, that will be the dress of the X-mas season this year(Thank you AP & KaNINa!!)

Second stop of the trip: Bel-Air and visit Jenny, Josephine & Olivia!!
The two days spent with the Perssons were very active, lots of play, pool time, dress up, bath tub splashing, story time, shopping... we had a great time and the wine sealing each evening was definitely the icing on the cake ;-) Jenny & I even managed to squeeze in an evening workout and a cinema visit, wow were we effective!!

Hannah and I ended our HK trip with some sightseeing in Wanchai and on a tram, the latter to Hannah's excitement (all the way to Kennedy town and back...)

Had a great trip, but was of course wonderful coming home to rest of the family - who were all waiting at Singapore Airport, and with our new car, yiehoo!!!

♥♥Happy B-day Hannah ♥♥

Our little Hannah is turning 3 today, wow does time fly!! 3 years ago, 3:45pm, she was born in Hong Kong, and life has never been the same.... YES, of course for the better ;-)

Morning traditon with birthday song and gifts in bed... Hannah was somewhat reserved for half-a-minute and then realize what a b-day is all about and has been a sunshine ever since!

Breakfast with the traditional Danish 'Fodelsedagsboller', I almost managed to master them, not quite but almost :-)

Hannah got to choose the activities with a few hints from the parents. Singapore Flyers (Parisehjulet!!!) & Pool-time were the top priorities.

The big, and nervous adventure of the day: throw all the dummies out!! Hannah had prepared a big envelope for Santa where we put all the dummies in. Then down the garbage disposal and a very excited Hannah looking around the house for a special Santa gift - a new kids kitchen, wow was she in heaven!!

How the night went without a dummy? Yet to see... she didn't cry for it (having her 'grandma teddy' and 'nose monkey' as a compliment) but we'll see if she wakes up in the middle of the night... fingers crossed!! :)

Hannah says a big THANK YOU for all nice Happy B-day wishes,
songs and gifts received during her day!!

Rainy day.....

Rainy day in Singapore, no playschool for Hannah, no planned activities for Matilde.... what to do.... the girls found some beautiful shoes so they started off having a fashion show :-)

Moving on to a very messy activity, ending up in the bathtub - as always!!

Mummy needs some adult time (i.e. need a break from the kiddos) and takes off for coffee with Sofie!!! And Girls Night Out tonight, so I'm sure I'm a much better mom tomorrow, re-engergized and ready to hit the play ground :)

Lots of grandparents visiting!!

Morten's parents and my dad and Agneta have been visiting us at the same time, great to have so many family members here!! One morning was spent at the botanical garden, while Hannah was at school. Wow did Matilde get a lot of attention :)

We managed to squeeze in a canal tour, a lunch at One Alltitude (great view!) and dinner at East Coast Park:

For the weekend, Morten bailed on me, and me and the parents-in-law and Anna-Maria with kids (who's hubby bailed to the same place as mine...) spent a day at Singapore Zoo:

Sentosa with the Whelans :-)

Sunday was spent at the beach at Sentosa Island. Quite relaxing despite three youngsters, wonderful with the breeze, B-fast, a dip in the sea, and great company!!

Matilde's play school

Matilde goes to an international drop-in play school quite similar to the Swedish 'oppna forskolan'. Both her and I are very happy about the setup; outdoor play, indoor snack-time, indoor free play, circle time with songs.

Lasik Surgery

I did it - Lasik Surgery!!!

A year ago, I decided to go for it, as several H&M collegues successfully did. At that time, I was 8 months pregnant and it was hence not possible, I found out, due to your eye vision tend to change during pregnancy. Instead, I got stronger glasses as a compromise :-)

Now, 1.5 year after, my vision was back to pre-pregnancy and I qualified for lasik!!

After several checkups (approx 5 hrs testing, with loads of waiting inbetween....), it was time for surgery.
Again, lots of waiting to get my eyes prepared (they had really good hot chocolate at the clinic, I guess to make the waiting seem shorter....). Before the surgery, I got a Valium, wow did I get slow!!

The surgery went really quick. I did feel I went in to some science fiction setting, but the doctor promised the ending will be successful :-) The procedures didn't hurt at all, but since you for obvious reasons had to keep your eyes open, it was a little bit uncomfortable to see what was going on... After surgery, I was really groggy, assumingly from the Valium and surreal experience... the eyes were dripping a lot and feeling very uncomfortable, so thanks Morten for coming picking your 'blind' lady up!

I got two sleeping pill to use if needed, I of course took both of them as soon as we got home and slept for 13 hrs straight, wow was that something!! (sleeping pill highly recommended for exhausted mothers, haha)

Today, when finally waking up, I can see!!! Never more glasses with perscription, yiehoo!!! Ok, still feeling some discomfort in the eyes but nothing to worry about. Of for a checkup now, soooo happy everything went well!!

PS. First comment from Hannah, when coming home in my eye shields: "Ooh mamma har blivit ett monster...!" (Mamma is a monster!!) :-)

Mosquito bites are cruel....

Hannah has gotten several mosquito bites and are for obvious reasons very annoyed by such. She is here discussing how a bandage definitely can cure the itchyness :-)  (in Swedish)

Kota Kinabalu, Borneo

My dad is turning 60 and we celebrated him in Kota Kinabalu, Borneo. Alright, we actually did have a family celebration this summer for him, but decided he was worth celebrating a few more times :)

Matilde was sick for the majority of the holiday but she got better by the end, thank Godness! We had a great time regardless; long hours relaxing by the pool & beach, eating good food, competing in the great game  of M.I.G.!, and simply enjoying being together ♥

A full day of celebrations - credits to Agneta & Morten for preparations while my and dad were enjoying massages :-)

...and a family picture collage...!
