Happy B-day Nellie!

Matilde's little friend Nellie turns one and such is of course celebrated full on - great job there Ketti!!
Lots of homemade cupcakes & cinnamon buns, yummy yummy! Plus cake and other goodies - wow did I have 2 kids high on sugar going home!!! Hannah could not even speak normally, her voice was super-loud and she ran instead of walked..... oh well, not B-day parties every day :-)

Thanks for a great party!

Swedish mummy/kids group

Matilde & I were the hostesses for the Swedish mummy/kids group this week and pool party was on the agenda, together with apple cake and other goodies (tack mummy for the recipe & IKEA for the vanilla sauce!)
Our condo has a great kiddie pool where the kids were tumbling around. When we were about to sit down for some coffee, the sky turned black and the rain was to close to be comfortable - and we quickly moved the 'pool party' inside. That was not only a good idea since we otherwise would have gotten completely soaked, but it's a lot easier to relax having toddlers around you if there is not a pool a few meters away....!

Weekend activities while hubby in Bangkok...

Morten spent the weekend in Bangkok on a traders meeting (I'm sure they were very busy working...) and we tried to fill the days with activities, where a visit to Raffles Marina with Sofie, Naomi & Paul was for sure the highlight!

Of course we had some quality time at home...

Lea & Naomi visit Fri afternoon

Friday afternoons, Naomi, Lea & Hannah have their regular playdates and the girls are getting more and more familiar with eachother, great to see. Matilde wants to join them of course, which produces various reactions depending on the sugar level of the older girls :-) Today though, she even got to sit down for snack with them, wow was she proud!

Sofie took some happy pictures of Matilde, tack tack :-)

and of big sister and even mummy :-)

Date night ♥

Date night at the East Coast - walking under an umbrella to the closest restaurang; Brusselsproots. If you are a fan of Belgian food, it was a great place... if you're not, well.... At least I got a Belgian Waffle with ice cream and hot chocolate sauce for dessert - and the company could not have been better!!

Girly afternoon!!

Friday afternoon was spent at the Dahlstrom's residence with four small princesses, two mummies and two helpers. We all had a great time, and the kids where happily exhausted when going home, and that is always a good sign :-)

Relaxing with Astrid Lindgren's "Visst kan Lotta cykla" and
picnic - very exciting not having to sit at the kitchen table and eat.... :-)

 Hide and go seek!!!

Cutest Nellie is turning 1 next week!

Matilde & Nellie are bonding :-)

Very happy Lea!!

Hannah & Lea being goofy - and Hannah finishing off with her 'angry face', haha :)
Hannah tries her very hardest to get Lea's 2nd dummy... she is normally an amazing
negotiator but seems she has met her match ;-)

Hannah & new classmate Hao Cheng

Hannah has a new classmate from China, Hao Cheng. Today, we took the bus together with him and his grandpa, and the kids were simply adorable while waiting on the bus; they were to shy looking at eachother, and when they finally did at the same time, they turn away all embarrassed :-)

Well back home, Hannah explained to me that Hao Cheng doesn't understand if she says 'hello' to him, you have to say 'ni hao' and 'peng you' (friend) :-)

What's wrong with certain bus drivers?!?????

I try to take the bus as much as possible in Singapore, at least when there is an available direct line. Hence, after the Swedish Church's mummy (and lately also daddy!) group, I went to the closest bus stop. 20 meters away from the stop, my bus #30 shows up and I wave for him to stop. He doesn't..... Oh well, maybe he didn't see me, I think, and try not to make a big deal out of it. 10 min later, a new #30 is approaching and I step out towards the road. The bus driver slows down, looks at me and takes off!!!!!!! Wow, that was hard not to make a big deal out of...and I try to call the customer service line to complain, unfortunately only with an answering machine available.

Alright, deap breatch, Matilde is quitely sleeping anyway, let's await next #30... which shows up after 30 min (what am I still doing there??? I'm definitely not stubborn...nah!). This time, I make sure almost to stand on the road when the bus stops. I signal to him that I want to get on through the backdoor, since I have a stroller with me. He simply looks back at me, and TAKES OFF - WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From now on, I will be a frequent TAXI rider!!

Well at home, I just need to get a break and leave Matilde with Nady, and go to the closest Starbucks. While sitting there happily enjoying the peace, my latte and book "Hundraaringen som klev ut genom fonstret och forsvann", the staff asks me to join a coffee tasting contest - and I won a bunch of instant Starbucks coffee :-) And Sara is back being positive again!!

Symöte :-)

'Symöte' (sewing get-together) with Sofie a la old tradition, i.e. majority of the time was spent chatting over a cup of coffee and cinnamon buns :-)

Relaxing Sunday afternoon with Sofia & Eva

Sunday morning, we took off to Vivo City for some fun in a Shopping Mall... yeah, I know, doesn't sound to exciting with 2 toddlers but turned out quite successful. First of all, taking the bus there was very exciting for both girls, especially since the trip only took about 10 min and they didn't managed to get bored :)

Well there, we started off at Toys R'Us, followed by Pacific Coffee for an early lunch. The lunch place has a big patio where the kids could run around, hence mummy and daddy got 15 min of relaxation, yiehoo!

Next stop - the outdoor playground, a hit! That was followed by the 2nd store of the day: Crocs (Matilde got her first Crocs!) Kids and parents are now done 'shopping' and took the bus home with a sleeping Matilde in the stroller. Piece of cake to hit the Mall with toddlers ;-)

The afternoon was way more relaxing: Sofia & Eva came over with their parents for some play and dinner by the pool. Very relaxing Sunday afternoon, thanks for the great company!!

Hannah learns the joy of goggles :-)

Hannah and friend Naomi have started swim lessons this week, where Naomi was a true star and Hannah... well... she simply wanted to jump in the water...oh well :-)

Today, she dragged Morten to the pool to show what she 'learned' at swim practice, wow was I surprised after the complete ignorance at the actual swim class!!

Hannah ready for the pool

The daddy enjoying the warm kids pool :-)

Checking out her flipflops under the surface, dipping her head, yiehoo - I got them!! :-)

Playdate with Naomi & Lea

An afternoon with the girls at Sofie & Naomi's place. Was nice to see the interaction between the girls and how they are starting to bond, and of course the great company of Sofie & Kelli :-)
